FAQ
Before you bring your child to our gymnastics classes, we want to make sure you have all the information you need. That's why we've compiled a list of FAQs to address any questions or queries you may have. With answers to common questions about pricing, session length, and requirements to joining our gymnastics club, you'll feel fully-prepared to get your child started on their gymnastics journey.
What is your location?
We are located at Unit A, Aldow Enterprises Estate, Blackett St, M12 6AE
Can my child do a trial before we join the weekly classes?
Every child can attend their first class as a paid trial for £10 per class. If they wish to continue with Totem Gymnastics, you can sign up right away. Attending a trial guarantees the spot if they decide to continue.
Can parents watch?
Yes. There is a designated viewing area for parents and family to watch during the sessions.
What should my child wear to class?
For boys and girls, leggings or shorts are fine with a tight fitted top that can be tucked in. A leotard is not essential but is the most ideal when participating in gymnastics. We kindly ask you that children don't wear t-shirts or baggy clothing as it restricts movement/rise above heads and we want to be able to give feedback and corrections. Strictly no jewellery and bare feet to participate.
Are your coaches qualified?
Yes, all of our leading coaches are fully qualified and we have assistant coaches who are learning how to become a lead coach who will always be under the supervision of the head coach / qualified coach.
Is gymnastics safe?
Gymnastics is a very safe sport when taught correctly. Our coaches will ensure your child’s welfare is paramount and will not push any skills above what they are capable of doing.
What happens if my child misses a session?
Unfortunately, if your child misses the class we are unable to make up the missed session.
Do you offer sibling discount?
Unfortunately, we do not offer a sibling discount.
Is there a notice period if we wish to leave?
We require a one-month notice period for cancellations. Notice must be given in full before the start of the month. For example, if you wish to cancel for June, notice must be received before 1st May.
Please note that any payment dates falling within the notice period are still payable in full.
What are the costs involved?
Dependant on the day you pick classes vary from £30-£40 paid monthly. Monthly class payments are billed on the 1st of each month. Payments are processed within 6 working days through our direct debit provider, London & Zurich.
There is an annual registration fee of £40 when signing up after your trial, which covers your child’s yearly insurance, a welcome pack and the club’s administration costs (such an up to date DBS, first aid, insurance etc)
